  • Your looks are not everything. The people who care about that don’t matter and the people who matter won’t care.

When I was in the fifth grade, I offered a girl half my brownie and she told me “no thanks, I’m on a diet.” And she was so skinny! She told me later that year she had tried a lot of different things to loose weight.

Cutting out all your food and excercising like crazy will not help you! Even worse, if you loose weight, your body goes into starvation mood and stores anything and everything you eat is stored as fat! (<–proven fact.)

However, loosing weight is 80% what you eat and 20% excercise. Here are my tips—

sign up for a sport at school – make sure you’re getting the excercise you need but in healthy amounts without overworking!

try healthier food choices – you don’t have to cut out the amount of food to loose weight.

try some of the delicious recipes off seventeen.com: pack your lunch instead of eating the cafeteria lunch —

2 large flour tortillas

1/2 cup ranch dressing

2 tablespoons barbecue sauce

1/4 head iceberg lettuce, very thinly sliced

1/4 pound pepper Jack or Monterey Jack cheese, grated

1/2 ripe avocado, thinly sliced

1/2 cup pitted black olives, chopped

1/2 cup red bell peppers, chopped

1/4 pound smoked or buffalo-style turkey, thinly sliced

Handful of cherry tomatoes, quartered

1. Heat tortillas in the microwave for 15 seconds (to soften for rolling).
2. Make the sauce by mixing the ranch dressing and barbecue sauce in a small bowl.
3. Working with one wrap at a time, layer each ingredient on half of the tortilla. Start with a bit of sauce, then add the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, avocado, olives, and peppers, using as much of each as you like. End with a piece of the turkey. Fold in each side of the tortilla and begin rolling the wrap from the end with the filling. Tuck in the filling as you roll.
4. Slice each sandwich in the center, and refrigerate overnight.
