  1.  Avoid Gossip – I know, I know, I am a girl too. It’s hard but it only leads to drama, so try to avoid it if you can. It will save you stress in the long run.
  2.  Don’t stress over the little things – Sometimes we just get caught up and make a big deal over something that isn’t a big deal. Next time that happens, just ask yourself, will this affect me an hour from now? or will I really care about this tomorrow?
  3.  Be positive – every morning when you wake up, think of one reason you have to get out of bed today. After school, I might have time to get that new purse I wanted or We’re watching a movie in class today. Somedays it might not be much but it reminds you that each day is important.
  4. Be grateful – Each night before you fall asleep, name three things you’re grateful for that day.
  5. Don’t let a bad situation get to you – just remind yourself, it could be worse!
  6. Let Loose Sometimes – Sometimes we break the rules and we look back later and think That may have been the stupidest thing I’ve ever done. But sometimes we break the rules and later on, when we’re sitting in our rooms grounded we think That was so worth it. Every once in a while you have to have some fun, forget about your homework tonight and go to that party you really wanted to go to.
  7. Don’t care what other people think – Be yourself and quit stressing over what other people might say if you dress like this today, or listen to this CD tomorrow. Stay true to yourself.
  8. Congratulate yourself – Instead of reminding yourself what you didn’t do, congratulate yourself on all the great stuff you did do. It will make you feel proud and motivate yourself to go even further next time!
  9. Set big goals – realistic, but still challenging. When you accomplish them, it will make you that much more happy and remind you how capable you are.
  10. Don’t forget yourself – Sometimes we seem to worry about everyone and everything else and forget to take care of ourself. Feeling tired and worn out this week? This weekend cancel your plans and just relax. Invite a friend over and do a facial, or go get your nails done. Catch up on your sleep and watch all those recordings of your favorite show stacking up on your DVR.
  11. Laugh and Smile – look and feel happy. Don’t have a reason to laugh at the moment? Watch a romantic comedy.
  12. Don’t let someone negative get the best of you – some people you just can’t change, so just shrug it off your shoulders and don’t let them ruin your great day.
  13. Accept that you did your best and that’s enough – Tell yourself that you tried your best and that’s all you can do.
  14. Break negative habits – stop those negative thoughts from entering your head!
  15. Ask for help – We can’t do everything ourselves, don’t be afraid to ask for help.
