5 Things People Don’t Like

23 Jul

Have you ever met someone and right away the way they act just seems like a major turn-off? I know I have. So to make the world a better place, here are a couple ideas to fix that: ๐Ÿ˜‰

1. The Person who Whines: nobody likes the person who is always whining and complaining the moment something goes wrong for them. Everyone doesn’t want to listen to your problems.

2. The Person who Brags: don’t do it. Every once in a while, sure, we all have bragging rights. But unless it’s something big, people don’t like to see you show off to them about what they don’t have, even if it’s unintentional.

3. The Person who always finds someone else to blame – If it’s your fault, take responsibility. Even if it’s not, pointing fingers isn’t going to help. If it’s been done, it’s been done.

4. Theย Snob who Takes Advantage – don’t do it. Don’t be a snob on brandnames, people, places, nothing. And do not turn around when you need something and act nice. It’s not cool to take advantage of someone and they’re going to tell other people you did. You don’t want that reputation.

5. The One who’s Desperate for Popularity – don’t be the person who follows around the “cool” kids, if they don’t like you, it’s their loss! There are plenty of people who will except you without asking you to change and fit their standards.

15 Ways to a Better You

22 Jul
  1. ย Avoid Gossip – I know, I know, I am a girl too. It’s hard but it only leads to drama, so try to avoid it if you can. It will save you stress in the long run.
  2. ย Don’t stress over the little things – Sometimes we just get caught up and make a big deal over something that isn’t a big deal. Next time that happens, just ask yourself, will this affect me an hour from now? or will I really care about this tomorrow?
  3. ย Be positive – every morning when you wake up, think of one reason you have to get out of bed today. After school, I might have time to get that new purse I wanted or We’re watching a movie in class today. Somedays it might not be much but it reminds you that each day is important.
  4. Be grateful – Each night before you fall asleep, name three things you’re grateful for that day.
  5. Don’t let a bad situation get to you – just remind yourself, it could be worse!
  6. Let Loose Sometimes – Sometimes we break the rules and we look back later and think That may have been the stupidest thing I’ve ever done. But sometimes we break the rules and later on, when we’re sitting in our rooms grounded we think That was so worth it. Every once in a while you have to have some fun, forget about your homework tonight and go to that party you really wanted to go to.
  7. Don’t care what other people think – Be yourself and quit stressing over what other people might say if you dress like this today, or listen to this CD tomorrow. Stay true to yourself.
  8. Congratulate yourself – Instead of reminding yourself what you didn’t do, congratulate yourself on all the great stuff you did do. It will make you feel proud and motivate yourself to go even further next time!
  9. Set big goals – realistic, but still challenging. When you accomplish them, it will make you that much more happy and remind you how capable you are.
  10. Don’t forget yourself – Sometimes we seem to worry about everyone and everything else and forget to take care of ourself. Feeling tired and worn out this week? This weekend cancel your plans and just relax. Invite a friend over and do a facial, or go get your nails done. Catch up on your sleep and watch all those recordings of your favorite show stacking up on your DVR.
  11. Laugh and Smile – look and feel happy. Don’t have a reason to laugh at the moment? Watch a romantic comedy.
  12. Don’t let someone negative get the best of you – some people you just can’t change, so just shrug it off your shoulders and don’t let them ruin your great day.
  13. Accept that you did your best and that’s enough – Tell yourself that you tried your best and that’s all you can do.
  14. Break negative habits – stop those negative thoughts from entering your head!
  15. Ask for helpย – We can’t do everything ourselves, don’t be afraid to ask for help.

21 Jul

Yes, I’m the nerd who loves these cute centimental sayings. haha ๐Ÿ™‚ So, here are a few of my favorites. If you’re like me, check out and type in the type of quote you’re looking for (friendship, family, love, etc.)

Other things may change us, but we start and end with family

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

Even though we’ve changed and we’re all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we’ll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we’re not all still friends.

This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.

ย “A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.”

The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in.

Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep… wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you’re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky his is to have you…. The one who turns to his friends and says, ‘that’s her.’

Bored? A list of LEGIT things to do when you’re bored.

Back to School List: My Version

20 Jul

Get all these back to school items to be prepared and cute for your first day! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Flash drive – good to transfer homework, papers, etc. from school computers to your own
  • 3-ring binders – get the cute colorful kind
  • A purse – get a cute original purse (something that can go good with any outfit, a neutral color); depending on how many books you have you can get a purse big enough to carry books from class to class
  • Colored pens – cute for notes and good to color-code and study!
  • Mechanical Pencils – more expensive but last just as long, look better, and no more sharperning!
  • Tide Stain Stick – this is a life saver for that pretty light colored shirt you just bought! When you stain or spill you can pull it out of your purse and not have to worry about it for the rest of the day
  • Highlighters – great for note-taking and reading in your textbook
  • Organizer/planner – somewhere where you have everything you need written down: sports practices, club meetings, going out with friends, homework assignments, etc. If you get a calendar type planner, make sure to get one with big squares to fit everything for the day!
  • Spiral notebooks – get some cute ones, or plain ones that you want to decorate in that boring class, to take notes and doodle in. It’s a good idea to get a three-hole punched one so that you can slip it right into your binder with all your other courses.
  • Locker Decorations – pictures, a magnetic mirror, locker wallpaper from the office supply store, magnets to hold up your stuff, and a locker shelf if your locker doesn’t have one!

Okay, so summer is ending in less than a month. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ And before we go back to school, it’s a good idea to get in some last minute fun.ย Here are a few things to do with your friends:

  • Go Ice Skating – Getting hot outside? Grab some friends and enjoy the cold!
  • Go to the park – you and a couple of your girlfriends can hang out in the park for the day, and there’s usually some shops nearby in case you get bored. If you get hot outside, buy an ice cream! ๐Ÿ™‚
  • Go to the pool – you’ve been doing it all summer, I know. But you’d be surprised how fast you miss it when school starts back!
  • Drive down to the beach for the day – If you can’t, ask a parent to drop you. Take a bunch of friends and enjoy the water. If you can, try a stay late to have a cookout and make s’mores on the beach!
  • Go to the mall – If you have to go back to school, do it in style ๐Ÿ™‚ Take some friends, and go buy clothes and accessories so you’ll be fully stocked when school starts back.
  • Blow of Fireworks – Sure, it’s not the fourth of July, but it’s fun to celebrate anyways! Buy some treats and have a couple friends over
  • Have a sleepover – Invite some friends and hang out, when school starts back you’ll be busy for a while, so now’s the time to do it!
  • Back to School BBQ? – Okay, so school might not be anything to celebrate, but who doesn’t like to party? Invite family, friends, and neighbors over and throw a big bash in your backyard! ๐Ÿ™‚
